About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support and enhance the gold layer of a Data Lake
- Model data using SQL and Python, creating tables to meet analytical needs
- Version queries and scripts, conducting code reviews to ensure quality and consistency
- Collaborate on defining and implementing best practices for governance, naming conventions, and documentation
- Structure and document data layers in a sustainable and organized manner
- Engage with business units and data teams to understand needs and propose analytical solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Technology or a related field
- Completed postgraduate degree in IT, OR six professional certifications in the relevant area of expertise and/or agile processes, issued by an internationally recognized certifying body
- Proven professional experience in Data Administration and Data Modeling
- Postgraduate degree in Information Technology or six professional certifications in the relevant area of expertise and/or agile methodologies, issued by a recognized certifying body
- Experience with the medallion architecture for data lakes
- Experience with data modeling using SQL and Python
- Experience with version control (Git) and reviewing SQL queries and Python scripts
- Preferred: experience with dbt for data transformation
- Preferred: knowledge of or experience with Data Mesh
- Preferred: previous experience working with education policy data
