About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enhance highly complex features using Java 8 and Java EE technologies
Design and optimize web interfaces, business components, and data persistence solutions
Develop REST APIs and integrations with enterprise systems and external services
Analyze and resolve complex issues involving performance, concurrency, transactions, and resource management
Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans in PostgreSQL
Conduct technical code reviews, ensuring adherence to architecture, security, and quality standards
Support technical decisions in collaboration with the architecture team and mentor other developers
Contribute to application stability, technical estimates, and the evolution of development practices
Use and critically evaluate Artificial Intelligence tools, ensuring quality, security, and confidentiality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience
Postgraduate degree in IT
Advanced experience with Java 8, Java EE, JSF/PrimeFaces, and EJB
Strong command of JPA/Hibernate, including the Criteria API and transaction management
Advanced experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, and query optimization
Solid experience with WildFly/JBoss, Maven, and REST APIs
Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and secure development
Experience with Git, pull request reviews, automated testing, and code quality analysis
Experience diagnosing performance issues and resolving complex problems in Java applications
Nice to have: experience with mission-critical enterprise systems or healthcare
Nice to have: experience with jOOQ, Redis, and Elasticsearch
Nice to have: knowledge of Spring Boot and Swagger/OpenAPI
Nice to have: knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and Gov.br integrations
Nice to have: experience with JVM analysis, garbage collection, and thread dumps
Nice to have: knowledge of JasperReports and integration with Zebra printers
Nice to have: experience with Azure DevOps, SonarQube, IntelliJ IDEA, or Eclipse
