Key responsibilities & impact

Own support tickets from initial contact through the production fix, without intermediate handoffs
Coordinate investigations of critical incidents, decide between immediate mitigation and a permanent fix, and communicate business and leadership impacts
Be accountable for the operational health of a set of domains, understanding normal system behavior, mapping failure points, and reducing incidents
Write diagnostic and corrective queries and scripts for PostgreSQL/SQL Server with transaction control, security, reversibility, and before-and-after validation
Investigate scenarios with partial evidence by correlating logs, payloads, integration traces, and database state
Debug and fix defects in legacy systems and modern platforms, opening pull requests accompanied by regression tests
Build and maintain structured logs with correlation, domain-level metrics, and actionable alerts
Analyze bottlenecks, execution plans, missing indexes, deadlocks, timeouts, and connection pool exhaustion
Ensure idempotency, retry policies, safe reprocessing, and discrepancy handling in integrations
Create automated routines and workflows to absorb operational volume without linear team growth

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience handling high-severity incidents and conducting in-depth root cause analyses
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, or a related field
Solid experience in software development and/or systems support, with direct responsibility for critical production environments
Track record of working autonomously, ideally in lean teams and providing technical responses without relying on internal filters or escalations
Familiarity with legacy system environments and platform coexistence or transition scenarios
In-depth .NET/C#: debugging real-world flows, asynchronous exception handling, and resolving common Entity Framework issues
Advanced SQL (PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server): complex JOINs, execution plan analysis, and safe data manipulation in production
Performance and concurrency diagnosis in applications and databases
Observability: structured logs, request correlation, metrics, and useful alerts
Integration architecture: REST, JSON, authentication, and webhooks
Git and code review: branching workflows, pull requests, and reviews
