About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist assigned departments and/or projects with basic engineering-related tasks
- Assist engineer teams with various tasks and duties
- Assist engineers with research, development, and design of projects
- Assist engineers with preparation of engineering drawings and documents
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Support Transit/Rail, Roadway/Highway, Aviation, and Transportation Planning teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program
- Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations
- Ability to organize information for use in drawings or other documents
- Introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures and requirements knowledge
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's program in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Completion of 2 years of post-secondary engineering program (preferred)
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D or related software (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication (preferred)
- High interest in infrastructure and transportation (preferred)
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
