About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and monitor field construction administration activities and/or management engineering services
  • Ensure construction projects comply with drawings and specifications, budget, and schedule
  • Run projects up to $10M in construction value and support mini-mega project pursuits
  • Develop project scopes, fee quotations, technical proposals, and contracts
  • Coordinate project activities, priorities, staffing, inspections, contractor progress, and schedules
  • Resolve technical field issues and coordinate responses to requests for information
  • Oversee project controls and review contractor and constructor schedules
  • Review submittals for conformance with plans and specifications
  • Implement project delivery plans and lead project management plan execution
  • Supervise and mentor project teams and resolve non-compliant work
  • Interpret and enforce contract plans and specifications
  • Confirm change order requests, estimate and negotiate costs, and write change orders
  • Provide project cost control and discipline quality control
  • Assist with business development, client relationships, pursuits, proposals, and presentations
  • May recruit, hire, develop, and retain construction staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or relevant degree and 8 years relevant experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of education
  • Previous experience with SEPTA Construction Projects and Concrete Foundations is required
  • Willingness to work overnight and weekend shifts when required
  • Preferred: 9 years relevant experience, or 13 years in lieu of education
  • Preferred certifications: Professional Engineer (PE), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or NICET Level III
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
