About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership and technical oversight for large-scale design-build infrastructure projects
  • Coordinate and integrate structural engineering teams across multiple firms and office locations
  • Review critical design decisions and manage technical interfaces
  • Resolve complex engineering challenges
  • Oversee adherence to project requirements, codes, and client expectations
  • Support design schedule development, resource planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination
  • Develop project scope and fee quotations and assist with technical proposals and contracts
  • Serve as primary client liaison and manage project teams to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets
  • Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specifications, and production
  • Implement project delivery plans and lead project management plan execution
  • Supervise and mentor teams toward project objectives
  • Coordinate project staffing, recruitment, development, retention, succession, reporting, performance, and compensation reviews
  • Support business development, client relationships, pursuit efforts, proposals, and presentations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience
  • 2 years task management or Deputy PM experience
  • Successfully delivering on-time, on-budget, quality, and client-satisfaction outcomes on smaller projects
  • Identifying and escalating risk and change management issues
  • Leading technical teams for small to midsize projects or task orders with subconsultants
  • Using system tools to manage, monitor, and deliver smaller projects or task orders
  • Providing strong technical guidance and performing portions of technical work
  • Ability to learn, teach, and implement new standards efficiently
  • Master’s degree in Engineering preferred
  • 10 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
  • Design-Build experience as structural technical lead and/or within design team management strongly preferred
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
