About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided
  • Assist in the development of project specifications
  • Develop discipline-specific engineering project elements and deliverables, including reports, designs, and plans
  • Aid in the coordination and productivity of project team members
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
  • Perform quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements and deliverables
  • Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within the discipline
  • Manage and lead design teams delivering complex design-build infrastructure projects with construction values of $100M to $2.5B
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor junior engineering staff
  • Participate strategically throughout the project's design life cycle, including pre-award, post-award, and post-design/construction phases
  • Travel to project offices
  • Perform staff management, proposal development, budget and cost control, and quality control activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
  • Project management experience delivering Design-Build projects preferred
  • Master’s degree in Engineering preferred
  • 10 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred (CA PE preferred)
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative engineering environment preferred
