About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a technical resource in project meetings and project design for the area of specialty
  • Research best practices and maintain outside contact with other specialists
  • Act as an internal and external point-of-contact for specialty areas
  • Develop and advise others in related subject matter
  • Prepare technical presentations, reports, and analyses in the area of specialty
  • Interact regularly with clients at the staff level
  • Perform technical reviews for other projects in the area of specialty
  • Lead project team work in the area of specialty and coordinate work with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects when required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related and 12 years of relevant experience, or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of education
  • Ability to develop and implement automation-related tools such as Lisp routines or Dynamo scripts
  • Experience with the Corps of Engineers, City of Kansas City, MO, and/or KDOT/MoDOT
  • Ability to also work in Microstation
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
