About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications
  • Perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery with the project team
  • Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to projects of varying size and complexity
  • Assist with project design execution and evaluation using technical knowledge
  • Develop conceptual and detailed designs and calculations using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software
  • Perform mechanical engineering tasks with minimal direction
  • Complete assigned work within the schedule and allotted hours
  • Support preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations
  • Assist with project quantity and cost estimates
  • Assist engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files
  • Support research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD or other software
  • Knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD
  • Ability to independently identify and analyze mechanical design issues, including alternatives analysis and life cycle analysis
  • Ability to represent the team to clients
  • Ability to coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and fire life safety design details, plans, and drawings
  • Ability to conduct HVAC load analysis and duct design, including code requirements
  • Ability to perform calculations and hydraulic analyses related to fluid flow within piping systems
  • Ability to prepare process and instrumentation diagrams for control systems
  • Ability to perform design reviews and quality assurance/control
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
