About the role

  • Provide daily inspection of multiple private development water main extensions
  • Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract provisions
  • Maintain daily inspection logs and review discrepancies or changes with the Team Lead
  • Observe, document, and verify construction work in progress
  • Confirm procedures are followed and materials conform to specifications
  • Perform mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work
  • Maintain daily reports of contractor labor, equipment, and verified material quantities
  • Perform on-site material testing
  • Produce as-constructed sketches as required
  • Recognize and escalate document discrepancies, conflicts, and changed conditions
  • Interpret schedules and provide feedback
  • Operate relevant testing equipment
  • Calculate complex pay quantities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience
  • All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements
  • 5 years experience in Water, Wastewater, and/or Storm installation (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and computer operations (preferred)
  • Ability to problem solve and interact with contractors and developers (preferred)
