About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform contract and project administration responsibilities
- Support field engineering functions for diverse projects and programs
- Assist the Resident Engineer or Project Manager with contractor activities and compliance monitoring
- Interpret contract plans and specifications
- Review contractor shop drawings and submittals for contract compliance
- Maintain as-built record drawings, project files, and records databases
- Maintain inspectors' daily reports
- Review contractor schedules and pay estimates
- Monitor project controls and claims documentation
- Review and process requests for information, submittals, change orders, and other project deliverables
- Review inspectors' daily reports for project conformance
- Assemble and process monthly progress payments
- Identify and resolve document discrepancies or conflicts
- Perform advanced calculations and develop Excel plots and graphs
- Draft detailed project progress reports
- Provide direction to less experienced staff
- Perform advanced shop drawing, submittal, and CPM schedule analysis
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years relevant experience, or Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years relevant experience, or Doctorate degree in Engineering and 2 years relevant experience
- NICET Certification preferred
- American Concrete Institute (ACI), SAT and TCC Certifications preferred
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Agency safety training certification preferred
- Experience with NJDOT Site Manager preferred
