About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop project scope and fee quotations and assist with technical proposals and contracts
Lead or actively participate in client contract scoping and negotiations
Serve as primary client liaison and manage project teams to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets
Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specifications, and production
Implement HNTB’s project delivery plan and lead project management plan execution
Supervise and mentor teams toward overall project objectives
Oversee project staffing, recruitment, development, retention, succession, reporting plans, performance, and compensation reviews
Partner on business development, client relationships, and pursuit efforts for bridge projects
Prepare proposal and presentation materials and lead proposal development and interview presentations
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
10 years of relevant experience
2 years of successful management of engineering projects
Experience winning, contracting, and successfully delivering multi-disciplined projects from concept through construction
Ability to identify and mitigate risk and change management, with guidance from more experienced staff
Experience leading teams on mid-sized and/or moderately complex projects, including sub-consultants
Ability to lead project teams with minimal assistance from the Office Management Team in implementing HNTB Sophisticated processes
Experience supervising, developing, and coordinating team members
Experience reviewing and checking engineering work completed by others
Ability to build effective client relationships and develop successors
Ability to coordinate project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work
Preferred: 12 years of relevant experience on MaineDOT, VTrans, and/or NHDOT bridge projects
Preferred: Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Project management experience on bridge projects
Supervisory experience
