About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary client liaison for roadway projects in South Florida
- Manage project teams to deliver scope, schedule, budgets, and client satisfaction
- Lead roadway staff meetings for the South Florida office and manage workload projections
- Develop, monitor, and manage the section’s operating budget and forecast updates
- Manage the growth and professional development of the engineering section
- Coordinate section activities, priorities, staffing, mentoring, and training
- Collaborate with other sections and departments on work-sharing opportunities
- Support strategic planning, project pursuits, contracting, and project delivery processes
- Assist with marketing, client discovery, proposals, interviews, and win-to-work activities
- Maintain client contacts and satisfaction
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain section staff
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and technical engineering tasks
- Lead a team through direct and indirect supervision of at least 5, typically 7–10 or more employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 8 years of practical experience
- 2 years of leadership experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams and complex project portfolios
- Experience delivering FDOT or similar public agency projects
