About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as an experienced and highly collaborative member of the highway design team
- Support delivery of major conventional and alternative delivery projects
- Perform advanced engineering, coordination, preconstruction, and program-level technical activities
- Collaborate with planning, engineering, environmental, project controls, and traffic teams
- Consider a broad range of engineering solutions using senior-level technical expertise
- Lead discipline-specific planning, work distribution, schedule adherence, and budget adherence on complex or unusual engineering projects
- Assist with marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation
- Develop scopes of work and levels of effort and manage adherence to scope and budget
- Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team work within the technical discipline
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
- Coordinate technical project aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners
- Lead discipline delivery on larger, multidisciplinary projects
- Coordinate and plan schedules, hours, and work distribution for other disciplines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Excellent technical knowledge and quality work in multiple discipline projects
- Ability to prioritize tasks and display accountability to deliver projects on-time and within budget and scope
- Ability to anticipate risks and effects of actions
- Understanding of objectives responsible for successful project delivery and how multiple disciplines influence project development
- Refined technical skills to identify problems, develop solutions, and make effective decisions
- Experience engaging with diverse public clients
