About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and deliver traffic analyses, traffic forecasts, and traffic modeling efforts for clients in North Carolina and South Carolina
  • Oversee and contribute to traffic engineering tasks and deliverables within larger, multi-disciplined teams
  • Leverage technical expertise and relationships to deliver quality projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction
  • Lead, mentor, train, and review work of team members
  • Plan and distribute discipline-specific work and adhere to project schedules and budgets
  • Assist with marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation
  • Assist with development of project scopes of work and levels of effort
  • Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team work within the technical discipline
  • Guide and mentor the team toward overall project objectives
  • Coordinate technical aspects of projects with client counterparts and teaming partners
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Traffic Analysis tools like Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, TransModeler, TransCad, and Sidra preferred
  • Previous project management or task management experience preferred
  • Understanding of impacts of decisions on technical design, schedule, and budget
  • Ability to coordinate work planning and design across multiple technical disciplines
  • Ability to prepare high quality deliverables on time and within budget and scope
