About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide technical input and oversight for complex rail and transit signaling projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert and consultant to HNTB offices
  • Provide strategic advice, technical analysis, and guidance for project delivery and client satisfaction
  • Prepare technical materials including strategic analyses, commercial documentation, technical provisions, and procurement documents
  • Support strategically important client and project pursuits with technical input and market knowledge
  • Participate in marketing, business development, trade shows, and industry associations
  • Identify, pursue, and execute high-level projects with assigned departments, agencies, and programs
  • Assist with contracting and project execution alongside regional staff and office leadership
  • Develop and promote technical knowledge and best practices with National Practice Consultants and Leaders
  • Manage client relationships and guide application of HNTB services
  • Contribute to strategic planning and thought leadership initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 12 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s degree in relevant field with 11 years of relevant experience
  • In lieu of degree, 16 years of relevant experience
  • Microprocessor based signal application logic development
  • Audio frequency track circuit application and setup
  • Signal block design development
  • Signal / vehicle interface understanding
  • Development of signal technical product specifications
  • Registered professional in area of practice in good standing with appropriate governing authority preferred
