About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manage construction, energy, maintenance, and repair projects as a safety and health protection coordinator
- Support risk assessments, operating instructions, and safety concepts
- Contribute to preparing explosion protection documents and training sessions
- Take responsibility for audits, safety walks, safety inspections, and accident investigations
- Coordinate contractors and develop contractor and visitor management at the Laufenburg site
- Participate in approval processes
- Develop the occupational safety management system according to ISO 45001
- Collaborate in company-wide intercultural teams to introduce and develop corporate standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed university degree in occupational safety, safety engineering, environmental health, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, metallurgy/materials engineering, or a comparable field
- Successfully completed qualification as a Safety Specialist according to DGUV Regulation 2
- Qualification as a Safety and Health Protection Coordinator (SiGeKo) is advantageous
- Several years of professional experience in a production environment, ideally in the chemical, metallurgical, or process industry
- Sound knowledge of occupational safety, construction-site safety, process and plant safety, and contractor management
- Strong communication skills and assertiveness
- Strong safety and environmental awareness
- Confident use of MS Office
- Very good German and good English language skills
