About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define, develop and deploy the Cement / Aggregates Transport Procurement strategy, incorporating Group / Regional strategy, performance objectives and the energy transition of the fleet
  • Lead tenders, negotiations and contract execution with carriers, then ensure the implementation of and compliance with negotiated agreements
  • Develop logistics solutions and procurement strategies to sustainably improve the competitiveness and profitability of Cement / Aggregates operations
  • Manage Transport category performance: savings targets, financial and logistics indicators, procurement and contractual coverage, variance analysis and improvement plans
  • Develop and manage carrier relationships through the SRM approach, strategic partnerships, supplier evaluations and continuous improvement plans
  • Lead cross-functional working groups with business stakeholders, internal customers, Supply Directors and Project Directors
  • Contribute to Transport projects coordinated at regional, European or global level
  • Analyze the supplier market and monitor technological, regulatory and sustainability developments
  • Propose innovations and energy optimization projects
  • Ensure annual financial results for the scope and provide reporting to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in multimodal transport procurement
  • Experience in transport within the construction industry is a significant advantage
  • Higher education qualification in Procurement
  • Strong command of complex negotiation techniques and project-based procurement process management
  • Ability to lead change
  • Analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead cross-functional working groups
  • Ability to negotiate internally and externally and work effectively through networks
  • Knowledge of SAP and Excel preferred
  • Knowledge of Transport Procurement in heavy industry and/or complex distribution is expected
  • Comfortable using BI tools and AI (Google)
  • Knowledge of energy optimization projects applied to multimodal transport would be an advantage
