About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support to sites by advising Site Managers and Operations Coordinators on all environmental issues affecting their facilities
  • Conduct regulatory and performance audits
  • Lead the Environmental Management System
  • Plan and manage environmental objectives and initiatives, and report progress on action plans to management and operational teams
  • Organize operator training and create training and awareness materials
  • Deploy the Holcim Group’s Environmental Standards and Policies in alignment with the Environmental and Sustainable Development Departments
  • Contribute to the rollout of initiatives aligned with the Group’s external commitments
  • Provide technical support to operational teams on specific topics, including water, pollution risk management, noise, and dust
  • Organize and produce quarterly and annual reports for the Group on environmental indicators and data
  • Help sites develop ownership of environmental risks
  • Conduct environmental incident investigations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role and environment, including through an apprenticeship or work-study program
  • Degree or training in Environmental Risk Management or QHSE
  • Knowledge of ICPE regulations
  • Knowledge of the main risks present at industrial sites
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QGIS
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills
  • B1-level English proficiency
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Perseverance and results orientation
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Adaptability
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to explain and train others effectively
  • Ability to persuade and influence without direct managerial authority
