Group Property Surveyor

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and evaluate new property opportunities across the UK
- Assess and pursue land and site purchases from existing operators and leasehold opportunities
- Lead and support acquisition activity, including site sourcing, due diligence, financial evaluation, negotiation, and deal execution
- Manage and optimise existing property assets for commercial and operational performance
- Support Airparks expansion through acquisition of strategically valuable locations
- Develop partner subletting and profit rent opportunities
- Build relationships with landlords, agents, partners, legal advisers, planners, competitors, and other stakeholders
- Build localised knowledge of markets at key airport locations
- Support lease negotiations, renewals, rent reviews, and property-related commercial discussions
- Monitor asset performance and improve value, efficiency, and return on investment
- Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and commercial teams
- Navigate local market conditions, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Provide reporting, insights, and recommendations for strategic property planning
- Travel across the UK in a remote, field-based role
- Attend occasional meetings and team collaboration at the HQ in Hythe, Kent
- Participate in recruiter and UK Acquisitions Surveyor intro call and assessment/interview with Group Property Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in property, real estate, asset management, acquisitions, or estate management
- Strong understanding of property acquisition and ongoing asset/portfolio management
- Proven ability to negotiate commercial property deals and manage stakeholder relationships
- Strong commercial and financial awareness, including asset valuation, lease terms, and investment logic
- Experience working across multiple markets or jurisdictions is advantageous
- Ability to manage a varied workload across strategic projects and operational property matters
- Confident communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to present property opportunities, commercial insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Analytical mindset with ability to assess opportunities and risks clearly
- Experience in airport-related assets, parking, mobility, travel, or operational real estate is advantageous
- MRICS qualification or similar professional property qualification is beneficial but not essential depending on experience
- Already have the right to work in the UK; this role is not eligible for UK skilled worker visa sponsorship
