About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct Mass Save home energy assessments
  • Use energy efficiency software to model homes and generate comprehensive energy savings reports
  • Recommend energy-saving measures such as insulation, LED lighting, and high-efficiency HVAC systems
  • Initiate sales and secure service contracts
  • Provide customer service and educate homeowners on energy-efficiency benefits
  • Use sales techniques to ensure customer satisfaction and generate referrals
  • Organize and guide customers through paperwork processes
  • Install energy-saving products, including thermostats, water-saving devices, and power strips
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly
  • Improve product knowledge and sales skills through ongoing learning
  • Stay informed about energy-saving options and technologies
  • Collaborate with internal divisions to cross-sell products and services
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • BPI Certification a plus
  • Previous customer service and sales experience preferred
  • Mass Save program knowledge a plus
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently in a primarily field-based role
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
  • Ability to work in customer settings, including attics, basements, confined spaces, and rooftops
  • Ability to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, stand on roofs, and safely move up and down stairs
  • Ability to travel in a personal vehicle
