About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the end-to-end experience and design direction of the Homey platform
Take features from research and problem definition through flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI and interactive Figma prototypes to launch
Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs ship correctly
Build and own the design system for web and mobile applications
Simplify client onboarding, ID checks, document upload, case tracking and professional dashboards
Design interactions between people and AI agents, including AI drafting, human review and trustworthy presentation
Conduct research and usability tests with UK clients, conveyancers and partners
Use PostHog analytics to evaluate product performance
Set design standards and critique culture
Lead the design team as it grows
Work directly with the founder, product lead and engineers
Report to the UK-based product lead

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years in product, UI or UX design, including at least 3 years on digital products for a global product company, international scale-up or overseas clients (UK, US, Europe or Australia)
Portfolio with end-to-end case studies on shipped products
Outstanding visual and interaction craft
Expert Figma skills, including components, auto layout, variables and prototyping
Experience building or running a design system used by engineers
Experience designing complex web apps or dashboards and consumer mobile or web flows
Comfort running user research and usability tests independently
Excellent written and spoken English
Confidence presenting and defending design decisions to UK stakeholders
PropTech, fintech, legal tech, insurance or other regulated-product experience is a bonus
AI-powered or conversational product design experience is a bonus
Accessibility (WCAG), motion design or front-end skills are a bonus
Experience leading or mentoring designers is a bonus
