About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and oversee ongoing accounting in accordance with HGB/Local GAAP and IFRS
Further develop and optimize accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting, as well as payment transactions
Provide advice on complex tax matters in cooperation with external tax advisors
Contribute to the development and optimization of the tax strategy
Prepare, review, and submit tax returns accurately and on time
Implement measures to optimize the company’s tax position
Manage and continuously enhance accounting processes across all business areas
Implement new regulatory requirements, standards, and technologies
Monitor and manage the entire invoicing process
Conduct bank-wide project controlling to ensure efficiency, transparency, and accuracy
Analyze, assess, and continuously improve internal processes
Lead and actively contribute to cross-functional finance and accounting projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed degree in business administration, economics, or a comparable field, with a focus on finance, accounting, or taxation
Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in the banking or financial services sector
In-depth knowledge of accounting, reporting, and tax law
Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
Experience in financing and leasing is desirable
Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Reporting is an advantage
