About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build growth and retention features end to end across the TypeScript backend and React front end
Plan growth and retention initiatives with the engineering lead, product manager, and designer
Ship features and experiments behind feature flags
Define success metrics before launch
Instrument features and experiments and analyze results with product
Use experiment results and data to decide what to build next
Review other engineers' code
Investigate and fix incidents in owned patient-experience areas
Improve patient onboarding, treatment retention, conversion, performance, accessibility, and usability
Deliver specified first-six-month outcomes, including multiple shipped experiments, instrumentation audits, and performance/accessibility improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Production experience building backend APIs in TypeScript on AWS (Lambda or ECS)
Front-end development experience in React, ideally with MUI and Vite
Comfortable owning a feature from API to UI
Experience shipping growth or retention features in a consumer product
Experience with A/B tests, feature-flagged rollouts, and analytics instrumentation
Experience building polished, mobile-friendly web experiences
Attention to performance, accessibility, and usability for non-technical users
Healthtech experience, including handling PHI and HIPAA-related practices (nice-to-have)
Familiarity with clinical NLP, healthcare data processing, or AI-assisted clinical workflows (nice-to-have)
Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical design decisions (nice-to-have)
