About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide and oversee airborne system development
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation flight recorders across the hardware lifecycle
  • Develop requirements
  • Perform electronic hardware design
  • Verify requirements
  • Support hardware qualification or delta-qualification of recorders and accessories, including microphones and cockpit control units
  • Interact with relevant suppliers and customers
  • Propose and drive electronic hardware design changes to reduce manufacturing cost and improve product reliability
  • Cooperate closely with Systems and Software engineering teams
  • Ensure compliance with applicable processes
  • Manage reporting and metrics
  • Improve processes and update documentation
  • Participate in defining long-term strategies and product roadmaps
  • Support flight recorder activities including EUROCAE ED-112 working groups and ARINC sessions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, business teams, suppliers, customers, and other partners
  • Report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related
  • Proven work experience in the aerospace, automotive or similar industry
  • Hardware systems design experience
  • Proven experience/track record in electronics design at analogue, high-speed digital, or power supply domains
  • Experience with signal integrity
  • Experience with MCU integration
  • Familiarity with electronic hardware development life-cycle including manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of schematics, signal flow, electrical components, root cause analysis, and technical drawings
  • Very good level of English language (B2 as a minimum)
  • Independent and fast learner
  • Strong team player with a proactive mindset
