About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design, qualification, and compliance of multiple aerospace electronic products from concept through production
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, firmware, and software engineers to achieve technical requirements and objectives
  • Control electronics project scope, schedule, budget, risk, scope changes, and baselines
  • Manage design and phase-gate reviews
  • Report progress to organisational stakeholders and customers
  • Provide engineering cost and effort estimates for proposals
  • Demonstrate compliance with requirements, quality processes, and procedures
  • Partner with diverse engineering disciplines and local and global teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree or equivalent in electronics, software, aerospace engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrable experience in digital/analogue electronics design and/or embedded software design
  • Experience in requirements and configuration management, quality standards, and documentation for aerospace products
  • Experience with project management, including resource, cost, milestone, risk, and change management
  • Experience using planning tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Experience developing project management operating systems per AS9100 and Aerospace Procedures, or equivalent quality standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading teams to achieve successful outcomes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with commercial or military aerospace governance standards, particularly RTCA/DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 (desired)
  • Experience with DOORs for requirements management or SAP Advanced Product Quality Planning (desired)
