About the role

Coordinate cross-functional teams
Ensure project milestones are met
Deliver process improvements aligned with business objectives
Manage software development process improvement performance and execution
Develop and manage costs, schedules, and milestones
Manage Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
Develop and manage project risks, including threats and opportunities
Maintain technical communication and relationships with internal and external customers
Drive quality, efficiency, and productivity improvement initiatives
Perform technical problem solving and root cause analysis for process audits and analysis
Define process flows, procedures, and compliance methods through technical documentation
Lead engineers in developing, deploying, and continuously improving software quality processes
Report to the Director of Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering
4+ years of experience managing software engineering projects in a technical environment
Knowledge of project management principles, structured software engineering development processes and tools, and quality standards
Proficiency with project management tools and software such as MS Project or IMS/ABM schedules
Ability to analyze technical data and develop actionable project plans to meet objectives
Understanding of software development lifecycles, including AGILE and Waterfall
Understanding of software development process methods, including SEI CMMI/CMM and SAFE Agile
Six Sigma or Lean development methodology knowledge
Ability to evaluate, document, and improve development processes using Continuous Process Improvement methodology
Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices and tools such as GIT/Bitbucket and JIRA
Experience developing or managing software in certified or regulated safety environments such as DO-178, DL-160, or MIL-STD 883
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Must be a U.S. Person under applicable U.S. export control laws and regulations
