About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and deployment in compliance with DO-178B guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions
- Contribute to software documentation and user manuals
- Implement services on the Linux platform to port the application
- Lead advanced software development projects, enhance and maintain critical software components, and troubleshoot complex issues
- Report directly to the Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FMS product software development
- Experience in User Interface Software Development and Maintenance
- Strong understanding of programming languages such as Embedded C++
- Experience with software development tools and version control systems
- Familiarity with software development methodologies
- Familiarity with build and debug tool chains
- Willingness to solve real-time challenges involving concurrent execution of processes in a multicore environment
- Experience developing new features and solving complex issues in User Interface functions
- Familiarity with UI Software Design, A661 Protocol and FMS functional area interfaces
- Lab experience testing and verifying system and software requirements
- U.S. Person status as defined by U.S. export control laws, or ability to obtain export authorization
