About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define system/software requirements with focus on the software platform for Compact Fly-By-Wire systems for Urban Air Mobility applications
- Design and analyze optimal Flight Controls System implementations according to customer specifications and aircraft configuration
- Design, execute, and analyze tests for system-function validation and verification
- Collaborate with domestic and international engineering teams and customers
- Follow applicable processes, standards, and licenses for FBW programs
- Cooperate with Control Systems and Software teams
- Mentor and oversee less experienced colleagues
- Provide technical leadership for project execution within the team
- Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of team project tasks
- Participate actively in agile project decision-making
- Provide customer onsite support when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering
- Strong engineering background in Aero, Electrical or Computer Engineering, automation, or control theory
- 5+ years of experience in system engineering
- Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink environment
- Knowledge of Flight Dynamics and Control LAWS principles
- Fluent communication in English at least B1 level
- Experience with Flight Control LAWS requirements development, testing, modelling, simulations, verification, and certification
- Knowledge of Multivariable Feedback Control Systems
- Good knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO-178B/C and ARP4754A
- EU or US citizenship due to export restrictions
- Aeroelastic Filtering System knowledge is an advantage
- Knowledge of C or C++ is an advantage
- Knowledge of Perl or Python is an advantage
