About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing contracts, amendments, extensions, and terminations
  • Represent the Company independently or as part of a team on routine and complex customer and supply chain transactions
  • Provide contracts and proposal advice and support to Business Area leads and Supply Chain leaders
  • Maintain relationships with Program Management, Customer Service, Finance, and external customer organizations
  • Train cross-functional staff on contract issues and raise contract awareness
  • Assist with development and implementation of functional strategy and deliverables
  • Participate in and lead special projects or improvement initiatives
  • Support prime customer, DCMA, DCAA, compliance audits, and data calls
  • Maintain accurate and complete contract records
  • Coordinate contract development and negotiations with internal departments and external parties
  • Interpret contract provisions and terms for managers and other stakeholders
  • Ensure contracts comply with laws and company policies
  • Track contracts and documents to ensure timely renewals
  • Collaborate with legal and finance departments on contract queries and clarifications
  • Monitor contract performance and fulfillment of obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Three (3) years of experience in government and or commercial contracting.
  • Familiarity with legal documents and terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (valued/preferred)
  • Contracts management experience
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, FAR, DFARS, and risk mitigation strategies
  • U.S. person required: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
  • Ability to develop sound relationships in internal and external customer organizations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities, including several assignments concurrently
