About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and debug embedded software and firmware for the SATCOM team
Apply engineering discipline, processes, and tools to complete project subtasks
Plan and execute project subtasks to meet customer specifications, including design and testing
Assist in completing products for certification and customer acceptance
Support Engineers, Technicians, and Associates to ensure project and product compliance
Contribute to project status and process presentations for leadership and external customers
Interface with vendors and suppliers to ensure product and project compliance
Communicate non-compliance and internal project audit results to pertinent parties
Collaborate cross-functionally to define system requirements and ensure timely project completion

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
2–4 years of relevant experience
Experience as a software design engineer in the Cellular or SATCOM sectors
Experience with DO-178 software verification and validation
Experience with C and C++ for embedded applications
Experience with Python or Linux
Exposure to agile methods and source control systems
Technical background in wireless communications, particularly modem/wireless transceiver architectures
Knowledge of signal processing and DSP is advantageous
Ability to contribute to project planning and execution, design, testing, certification, and customer acceptance
Ability to support Engineers, Technicians, and Associates with project and product compliance
Ability to contribute to project status and process presentations for leadership and external customers
Ability to interface with vendors and suppliers
Ability to communicate non-compliance and internal project audit results to relevant parties
