About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, maintain, and improve an internal web-based analytics application
- Implement new features and troubleshoot existing functionality
- Write, review, and maintain Python and SQL code
- Work with a Python web application framework such as Taipy or similar technologies
- Apply standard software development practices, including Git, issue tracking, code reviews, and development lifecycle workflows
- Support existing analytics functionality, including some legacy MATLAB code
- Collaborate with software engineers and analysts working with aircraft-engine data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently pursuing university degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field
- Basic to intermediate programming skills in Python
- General knowledge of SQL and working with data
- Basic understanding of web application development
- Familiarity with Git and general software development practices
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a technical team
- Enthusiasm for aviation, aircraft, or aircraft engines is highly appreciated
- Experience with MATLAB is valued
- Exposure to time-series data and data analytics is valued
- Basic knowledge of AI and machine learning and interest in developing in the area
