About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect and lead the development of advanced aerospace system architectures using MBSE principles and industry standards
- Champion adoption and integration of MBSE tools, including SysML and MATLAB/Simulink, for system modeling, simulation, and requirements management
- Oversee requirements validation, traceability, and verification from concept through delivery
- Mentor multidisciplinary hardware, software, and test engineering teams
- Identify and resolve complex technical risks and engineering challenges
- Lead technical reviews and customer engagements
- Communicate system architecture and validation status
- Support certification processes and interface with regulatory agencies as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering within aerospace or related industries
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- Extensive aerospace systems engineering experience focused on system design and integration
- Strong knowledge of aerospace standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A
- Experience applying aerospace standards to system development
- Proficiency in systems modeling tools such as SysML or MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with requirements management software
- Experience with system verification and validation processes
