About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess and drive achievement of program-specific performance within Honeywell Global Product Engineering Services
  • Create 2D drawings and 3D models
  • Process engineering changes through the Honeywell Aerospace PLM system
  • Support the Honeywell Aerospace Yeovil location and sister divisions
  • Work with Class II Design Authority for life support, engine bleed and environmental control, and hydraulic systems
  • Support Phase 6 IR/ECNs for ISC
  • Collaborate with engineers across sites on design improvements
  • Develop design-for-manufacturing ideas to improve day-to-day operations and supply chain performance
  • Follow procedures and design standards and contribute to best practices
  • Complete drawing packs and supporting documentation, including tolerance analyses
  • Liaise with production engineering and production planning to develop production-suitable design/detail packages
  • Deliver project schedules and milestones within a multi-project team environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is stated, but the posting says it is not essential and candidates with the right skills, experience, and motivation may succeed without it
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in engineering
  • Competence using 2D drawings and 3D modelling
  • Experience with small component design
  • Knowledge of design for manufacture principles
  • Experience with fine tolerance components
  • Experience in design, ideally precision components
  • Experience with 3D and 2D CAD, preferably Siemens NX
  • Customer awareness and results-focused work ethic
