  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in advanced manufacturing processes
  • Lead cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations and enhance productivity
  • Develop and implement weld processes to optimize production and drive continuous improvement
  • Identify and evaluate cutting-edge technologies for adoption in manufacturing processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in advanced manufacturing
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Candidate must be a U.S. person: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
  • Extensive experience (6+ years) in welding of aerospace components
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, welding process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong knowledge of TIG welding, electron beam welding, welding automation, and related technologies
  • Knowledge of AWS D17.1 and AMS2750
  • Familiarity with GD&T concepts and symbols
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a dynamic global environment
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution
  • Advanced engineering degrees such as ME, EE, IE, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Experience driving process improvements and achieving results
  • Ability to think strategically and implement innovative solutions
  • Experience programming robotic welders
  • Experience using NX or other software
  • Experience welding aluminum, titanium, and Inconel aerospace parts
  • Experience creating work-holding fixtures and optimizing welding setups for aerospace components
