About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager
  • Define and implement project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft Project
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics
  • Lead risk management to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery
  • Control scope growth through baseline change management
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship
  • Work across functional boundaries with internal and external customers and certification agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in electrical or software engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of project experience or technical CM role developing FAA/EASA certified commercial avionics systems in the Aerospace industry
  • Must be a U.S. Person for export control work
  • Experience with CNS products and PE processes
  • Gold Level EVMS certification or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • Ability to lead teams to fast, practical solutions using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Able to travel to customer and internal Honeywell meetings both domestic and international
  • Advanced degree preferred
