About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead project engineering execution for complex aerospace hardware development programs
  • Serve as the primary technical focal point for scope, schedule, cost, and quality performance
  • Lead avionics engineering activities for new product development and sustaining projects
  • Own engineering scope, planning, execution, risk management, and delivery of program milestones
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including systems, hardware, and software
  • Lead hardware design, verification, and validation activities for display systems and products supporting Anthem, Epic, and Apex flight deck platforms
  • Drive requirements development, technical trade studies, design reviews, verification activities, and problem resolution
  • Monitor and manage project cost, schedule, resource utilization, and technical performance
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, technical experts, engineering leaders, and internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and technical innovation
  • Report to the Director of Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading engineering projects or work packages with responsibility for technical execution, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Knowledge of engineering development processes, requirements management, verification and validation, and configuration management
  • Hardware, electrical, electronics, electro-mechanical, or aerospace engineering experience
  • Hardware procurement and testing experience
  • Technical project management, including scope, schedules, risks, and cross-functional teams
  • Global collaboration and cross-functional teamwork
  • Strong communication and project governance processes
  • Customer-focused with a solid understanding of business objectives
  • Resource prioritization and project execution leadership
  • Sound engineering judgment and ability to execute independently
  • Experience leading projects in fast-paced, regulated environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
