About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams
  • Monitor project progress and adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders
  • Lead project teams and support innovation, efficiency and excellence
  • Manage mechanical Value Engineering and strategic cost-takeout projects
  • Conduct engineering-driven workshops and product-line deep dives to identify cost-takeout ideas
  • Execute the Value Engineering process consistently across projects
  • Provide technical support to improve product cost, producibility and yield
  • Align with Materials Management on cost-takeout efforts and strategic business roadmaps
  • Develop short-, medium- and long-term projects through deep dives and supplier workshops
  • Maintain a portfolio of potential projects supporting AOP and STRAP planning for CPE
  • Develop and maintain reporting templates and tools for project reviews, Management Operating Reviews and clearinghouses
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, engineering, senior executives, program managers and customer business teams
  • Translate customer and business needs into actionable product requirements
  • Act as CPE focal in GBE Meetings, support strategies and execute MOS
  • Report to the Director Engineer Program Management
  • Travel within the United States and/or internationally up to 10% may be required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • 18 months of experience in project engineering, project management or integrated supply chain
  • U.S. Person status required under U.S. export control laws, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status under asylum or refugee status, or ability to obtain export authorization
  • Experience with SAP, TeamCenter, OneSource and RapidResponse-Webplan valued
  • Lean Six Sigma methodology experience valued; Green Belt Certification is a plus
  • Proficiency with SharePoint tools and Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and Outlook
  • Master's Degree or advanced professional certification valued
  • Extensive relevant manufacturing engineering experience valued
  • Experience performing product manufacturing cost analysis valued
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies valued
  • Ability to establish priorities in a complex and demanding environment
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment across multiple locations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
