About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess and drive achievement of program-specific performance within Honeywell Global Engineering Services and the Chief Engineering/Product Engineering organization
  • Support Momentum Factory Support, DMAIC and supplier support activities impacting the Honeywell Phoenix/Tempe location and sister divisions
  • Serve as Class II Delegate Design Authority for the Engines Site for Phase 6 ECNs supporting ISC
  • Lead engineering efforts to release Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs)
  • Perform engineering assessments and generate ECNs for drawing changes in a production-support environment
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve actions driven by factory support and supplier requests
  • Execute technical assessments and coordinate substantiation analyses, including stress, alternate material, dimensional variation, qualification and testing
  • Prepare and submit approval packages for drawing changes and interface with customer support teams
  • Work with ISC Engineering/Manufacturing, Operations and Quality to prioritize engineering actions and process or yield improvements
  • Review proposed processing changes during ISC events and agile projects to ensure product integrity
  • Support program cost, schedule, performance and risk mitigation
  • Perform budget analysis, schedule and milestone development/management, and project performance measurement
  • Report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 2 or more years of professional experience in engineering
  • Experience in design and manufacturing
  • Understanding of different product lines in the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of design practices and qualification requirements
  • Experience creating, supporting and enhancing specific action plans
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Program management skills
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management
  • Candidate must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
