About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead complex engineering projects and drive delivery of advanced aerospace solutions
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, schedules, and deliverables using MS Project, SAP, WBS, and EVMS tools
  • Drive engineering projects through the full lifecycle using IPDS or equivalent processes
  • Develop statements of work for engineering teams, vendors, subcontractors, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Prepare status reports, executive presentations, charts, and documentation for customer and leadership reviews
  • Create and coordinate PECA artifacts and phase-gate exit review deliverables
  • Support proposal development, cost estimation, resource planning, and project forecasting
  • Manage integrated master schedules and track SPI, CPI, and earned value metrics
  • Present program status, risks, and technical information to executives and customers
  • Develop, trace, validate, and manage customer and system requirements using CPCS processes and tools including DOORS, PTS, and ClearCase
  • Translate customer and system requirements into controls-system documentation and design specifications
  • Lead design reviews and manage requirement updates and validation under IPDS AP-1235 processes
  • Oversee configuration-controlled build, integration, and testing of development hardware and test equipment using PDM systems
  • Develop test cases, procedures, and Python automation scripts; execute validation testing and document results
  • Validate software releases, updates, and modifications against customer and system requirements
  • Integrate and troubleshoot system-level test equipment, electronic and mechanical hardware, and software
  • Create and maintain test procedures, validation records, and assessment reports
  • Develop control algorithms and system models using MATLAB/Simulink, HAM, Beacon, and other model-based engineering tools
  • Execute and evaluate simulations to support design, verification, and performance optimization
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in electronic Cabin Pressure Control System design, development, and integration
  • Lead small engineering teams and mentor junior engineers
  • Support aerospace certification, system safety analysis, functional hazard assessment, requirements analysis, design reviews, and verification
  • Communicate and coordinate with engineering disciplines, suppliers, vendors, customers, and program stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 5+ years of customer technical requirements management using formal tracking systems such as DOORS, PTS, and ClearCase
  • 5+ years developing CPCS / ECS aerospace systems
  • Subject matter expertise in aircraft integration and certification
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry specifications including DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754, ARP4761, and military specifications
  • Familiarity with FAA and other aircraft certification processes, including FAR Part 23 and Part 25
  • Understanding of Aircraft Cabin Pressure and/or Environmental Control Systems
  • Interpersonal communication skills for interaction with cross-functional disciplines, suppliers, vendors, and customers
  • Understanding of System Safety Analysis and Functional Hazard Assessment
  • Must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship
  • Up to 10% U.S./international travel
