About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for avionics and electronic systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and system architecture
- Ensure software compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to deliver robust and reliable software
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects
- Work with engineering teams to release design and documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Interact with customers
- Provide project oversight and coordination
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as software engineering, sciences, technology, or mathematics
- 9+ years of experience in advanced software development, preferably in aerospace or related industries
- Experience in avionics, navigation and/or airborne surveillance domains, including TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, or UAT
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- Familiarity with aerospace software standards such as DO-178C
- Experience debugging and testing embedded software
- Experience with avionics software development and integration
- Experience with version control systems and software testing methodologies
- Experience with software development tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems, embedded software design, and aerospace industry standards
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Proficiency in C++ and C
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Must be a U.S. Person under U.S. export control laws, or have the ability to obtain export authorization
