About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform numeric evaluation of product design, integration, and qualification activities for new inertial navigation products
  • Evaluate sensor and system performance, including Root Allan Variance (RAV)
  • Lead trade studies and issue resolution activities, including FMEA and RCCA
  • Prepare, review, approve, and present technical documentation and deliverables to internal and external customers
  • Function as a technical focal with internal customers supporting new product development and communicating technical status
  • Execute in a cross-functional team setting with mechanical, electrical, software, and test teams
  • Support system design team meetings including SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, FCA/PCA, and TIMs
  • Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, and technical solution development
  • Create system-level requirements, Interface Control Documents, Hardware Requirements Specifications, Performance Verification Test Plan Procedures, and certification documents

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 4+ years’ experience in a related field
  • Experience in systems guidance and navigation testing and analysis
  • Experience with DOORS
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense programs and processes
  • Advanced knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
  • Model based system engineering capability
  • Ability to effectively communicate and manage cross-functionally to meet deliverables
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of software development as an engineering discipline, including some programming skills
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
  • Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status under asylum or refugee status, or able to obtain export authorization
