About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, review, and manage system requirements for Airbus Flight Management System (FMS) functionality
- Analyze Airbus operational requirements and ensure alignment with FMS system design
- Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and interface definition activities
- Investigate, document, and track system observations and defects using JIRA
- Support integration, verification, validation, and certification activities
- Perform system-level troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Coordinate with software, navigation, guidance, performance, and V&V teams to resolve technical issues
- Support customer issue investigations and technical reviews
- Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and compliance artifacts
- Work with Airbus customers and cross-functional software, hardware, certification, and verification teams throughout the product lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
- 6 years of engineering experience in Systems Engineering, avionics, aerospace, and/or embedded systems development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Flight Management Systems (FMS), Flight Guidance, Navigation, or Avionics systems is of value
- Experience with ATP/customer demonstration activities is a plus
- Knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-178C, and aerospace development processes
- Experience with DOORS, JIRA, and requirements management tools
