About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Draft, review, and manage a high volume of complex Department of State and Department of Commerce export licenses and authorizations
  • Evaluate the applicability of license exceptions and exemptions for proposed export transactions
  • Evaluate end-to-end export authorization strategy for product development and transition programs/projects
  • Assist with export authorization post-approval strategy and operationalize complex provisos/conditions
  • Review and release export shipments in SAP-GTS against applicable export authorizations
  • Conduct export compliance reviews for supply chain, procurement, logistics, quality, and program management activities
  • Assist with export audits, assessments, investigations, and disclosures
  • Support export process and procedure review, improvement, and implementation
  • Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders and support collaboration among business units, foreign subsidiaries, and external partners
  • Deliver export compliance training to Honeywell Aerospace Strategic Business Groups
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of export activities for regulatory reporting requirements
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Honeywell Aerospace’s global integrated supply chain operations
  • Report directly to the Manager of Export Compliance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years related work experience in export compliance, international trade, or a related field
  • Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Familiarity with Sanctions regulation (OFAC)
  • U.S. person status required: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
  • Experience in SAP / GTS
  • Experience in EASE OCR
  • Experience with SNAP-R and/or DECCS
  • Knowledge of export requirements for software, technology/technical data, deemed export, re-exports, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, international trade, business administration, law, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information
