About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Honeywell Aerospace development programs within the Engines & Power Systems Strategic Business Group
- Execute development programs of significant size and complexity
- Achieve scope, schedule, cost, delivery, and quality requirements
- Manage and lead complex, global development programs spanning domestic and international locations
- Coordinate technology development and production across different sites
- Define, generate, and implement program plans and business requirements within approved budget and schedule constraints
- Define and implement the program-level Management Operating System (MOS)
- Adhere to Honeywell Integrated Product Delivery and Support (IPDS) processes and Phase Gate rigor
- Manage statements of work, work breakdown structures, basis of estimate, requirements, schedules, and costs
- Perform resource-loaded scheduling, critical path analysis, earned value management, financial and budget management
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks
- Provide executive-level reporting, reviews, and communications
- Manage work-package metrics, including CPI, SPI, and EAC
- Set high performance expectations and remove team roadblocks
- Partner with Product Management, Project Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, ISC Engineering, APQP, Aero PMO, Customer & Product Support, and other functions
- Coordinate with Customer Business Teams and/or GBE on technical performance, schedule, and cost requirements
- Facilitate forecasting and capacity analysis
- Maintain communication channels for timely awareness of program progress and issues
- Present program details, requirements, and action status to leadership, technical, and functional audiences
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidate must be a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
- 8+ years’ relevant program or project management experience and expertise within a technical or business field
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall, and associated tools
- Strong leadership, executive-level communication, and people management skills
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Ability to communicate clearly and precisely with stakeholders, team members, and customers
- Ability to coach, guide, and motivate teams and foster collaboration
- Ability to resolve disputes and reach agreements among stakeholders with conflicting interests
- Ability to make sound and timely judgments in ambiguous environments
- Ability to adjust plans and strategies to changing project requirements or shifting priorities
- Knowledge of the aerospace industry and/or engines and power systems business
- Knowledge of requirements management and fulfillment
- Knowledge of planning and estimation, including resource, material, capital, and other needs
- Integrative thinking skills and high bias for action
- Willingness to champion change in a rapidly evolving environment
- Proven excellence in effective communication, interactive, and presentation skills
- Ability to integrate complex concepts and information with program management systems and processes
- Proven track record of establishing procedures, best practices, and associated compliance
- BS/BA/Master’s degree in Engineering or Business valued
- PMP or other relevant industry-standard certifications valued
