About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own project scope, objectives, and deliverables while partnering with engineering, operations, finance, supply chain, and customer-facing teams
- Lead matrixed teams to deliver cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality commitments on programs supporting the F-35 mission
- Translate business objectives into execution strategies, practical plans, and measurable outcomes
- Build and execute integrated project plans within approved budget, schedule, and resource constraints
- Adhere to Honeywell’s Integrated Product Delivery & Support (IPDS) process and phase gate reviews
- Set and maintain robust project and technical baselines
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for project management processes and practices
- Identify and mitigate risks and propose opportunities
- Engage stakeholders with issue summaries, practical options, and corrective-action recommendations
- Communicate complex project, technical, and financial status to internal leaders, customer stakeholders, and executive audiences
- Comply with OPSEC, CUI, and export regulations and laws
- Update Earned Value metrics based on project execution
- Ensure project billings are submitted on time
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- 6+ years of engineering project management experience, ideally in complex technical or regulated environments
- PMI certification or commitment to obtain certification within 6 months, sponsored by Honeywell Aerospace
- Experience with Honeywell’s IPDS process
- Experience with resource-loaded scheduling and critical path analysis
- Experience with Earned Value Management
- Experience managing complex Government-funded, Cost-Plus programs
- Aerospace background
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Strong technical writing and executive presentation skills
- Proven business and financial acumen
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically while tactically setting and achieving goals
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements
- Proven track record of completing complex engineering projects on time and within budget
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Experience in risk management and problem solving
- Master’s degree in engineering or business (valued, not required)
- Honeywell Global PE/PM Academy graduation (valued, not required)
