About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and implement software solutions supporting aerospace applications
- Develop, test, and maintain software components for aerospace systems according to project requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and quality assurance teams
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Enhance software performance and reliability
- Contribute to critical aerospace software components that support advanced aircraft systems, flight experience, and safety
- Report directly to the Space Senior Engineering Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. person status required: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in embedded or aerospace software environments
- Strong knowledge of C and C++ programming languages
- Experience with software lifecycle processes
- Familiarity with hardware-software integration and debugging tools
- Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded software development is highly desirable
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field is valued
- Experience in aerospace or defense industries with knowledge of relevant standards and regulations is valued
- Proficiency with version control systems, build systems, and continuous integration is valued
- Knowledge of model-based design and simulation tools is a plus
