About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and refine ECS performance models and simulations for air and vapor cycle systems
  • Validate and verify system-level steady-state requirements
  • Conduct thermodynamic, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics analyses to optimize system performance
  • Define system- and equipment-level key performance requirements and generate/validate associated requirements
  • Create and maintain system-level steady-state models
  • Optimize runtime performance and validate models against component and system test data
  • Generate model documentation
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate hardware and software components
  • Perform system validation, verification, and testing to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Design, develop, and integrate complex systems to meet customer and business requirements
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 0–2 years of experience in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering fields
  • Advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical field with emphasis on thermal management system modeling and analysis, in lieu of experience
  • Experience in thermal management system design and development
  • Experience with systems modeling tools and software such as NPSS, SysML, MATLAB, or similar platforms for system analysis and design
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
