About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of advanced systems including hardware, software, and network components

  • Perform requirements analysis and decomposition
  • Conduct systems design, integration, validation, and verification
  • Interact with customers
  • Provide project oversight and coordination
  • Hold budget and schedule responsibility
  • Contribute across the systems development lifecycle, including requirements development, systems design, integration, flight testing, certification, and customer engagement
  • Report directly to the Sr Engineering Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematic
  • 2+ years of experience in systems engineering
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting
  • EGPWS systems engineering experience
  • Flight Test Experience of EGPWS systems and functions in support of rapid prototyping, TSO and STC programs
  • U.S. Person status: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status under asylum or refugee status, or ability to obtain export authorization
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; work visa sponsorship is not provided
  • Advanced degree from an accredited Aerospace University in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience working on large-scale system integration projects
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies in systems engineering
  • Aircraft systems knowledge or piloting background
  • EGPWS or TAWS experience
  • Aviation safety experience or knowledge
  • FAA regulations and industry standards knowledge
  • ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254, and DO-160 knowledge
  • Agile development process knowledge and experience
  • TSO, STC, and Aircraft Type Certification knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Ability to analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts
  • Ability to work with little supervision and take initiative
  • Ability to adapt to project changes and manage complicated tasks
