About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build detailed and accurate 3D models and drawings of product components and assemblies according to Honeywell drafting practices
- Apply design-for-safety and design-for-manufacturability principles
- Build accurate and timely bills of material in the SAP MRP system to support material management and procurement
- Ensure design and drawing deliverables are clear and understood by the Port Manatee facility and other manufacturing sites
- Liaise with manufacturing personnel regarding design issues and production variations
- Participate occasionally in plant visits and assigned international field repair trips
- Participate in and lead model, safety, and drawing reviews for compliance with engineering requirements, customer specifications, and established fabrication methods
- Create and modify 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials for LNG equipment, including coil wound heat exchangers, cold boxes, and modules
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 1 year experience with the design and fabrication of ASME pressure vessels and B31.3 process piping design practice
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing processes experience, including welding and materials of construction
- Minimum of 1 year of MRP systems experience, such as SAP or similar
- Minimum of 1 year of Electronic Document Management Systems experience; SolidWorks PDM or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office Tools
- Associate Degree in Mechanical Design Technology/Drafting and 2+ years of meaningful experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience without a degree
- Minimum of 1 year experience with design and modeling of structural systems, controls, valving, and other industrial gas system components is a plus
- MicroStation and SmartPlant experience are a plus
- Team-oriented individuals capable of working productively in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational, communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
